Texas Society of Sculptors is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization formed in Texas in 1971 for the purposes of educating the public about sculpture and appreciation of this art form, promoting the work of sculptors, and serving as a liaison between sculptors. Although based in the Austin Texas area, membership is open to all sculptors and sculpture lovers anywhere.

Members create realistic figurative sculptures, abstract and contemporary sculptures in the round and relief.  Sculpting materials used by members to create fine art pieces including bronze and other metals, stone, terra-cotta, clay, ceramics, mosaics, cement, wood, paper and mixed media.  Some members focus on public and private commissions and many are represented by art galleries.  New and emerging artists become members to interact with experienced sculptors including sculptors who teach sculpture classes and serve as mentors for sculptors.
