Artist Reception The Surreal Art of Ho Baron
“My imagery has its roots in the ancients, like the Hindu and the Mayan, and the work is archetypal in nature. The forms are primal and naïve, and though brut, they are fluid and sophisticated. My creations exemplify Karl Jung’s theories of the universal creative unconscious, and they are thus metaphors that emulate the mythologies and commonalities of our species.”

The enrichment continues at the Artist Talk on Sunday as Ho Baron discusses his process and the inspiration behind his artwork. Intuitively modeled in clay in an arduous sculptural process, his sculptures are surreal creations covered with intricate motifs. Join us as we learn and engage with the artist.
