Artist's Biography

Back to top of page

Graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago, former art teacher, past president of the Texas Society of Sculptors, creator of numerous expressive portraits and evocative figures . . . Nancy's realistic sculptures embody grace and serenity, coupled with a strong sense of design. Her works are often narrative, their subject matter drawn from biblical, mythical, or historical themes. The largest sculptures, approaching life-size, are modeled over Styrofoam armatures and then cast in plaster, or in concrete for outdoor installation. Smaller works are of bronze or terra cotta.
