Artist's Statement

Each sculpture has a life cycle. They begin with an idea followed by a birth of visual possibility. They grow, roughly at first, and develop a distinct personality. Usually a time of turmoil happens with weakness fading and strengths and beauty emerging. And just like that, it's over. Only then can I look back and reflect on what has happened.
