Artist's StatementI work mainly figuratively to express emotions portraying our dreams and our expressions of connections with each other, with the earth and with our spirituality. Of my work I would say, "Art in all its forms is soul work . . . a coming to see what is truth for us. Art is metaphor and mystery and myth . . . it is the way we live!" |
Artist's Biography and ResuméPat Moberley Moore has a rich and varied background of experience and work. She has a B.F.A. with emphasis in metals and a B.S. in Education, both with honors, from the University of Houston. Her college studies have been augmented with many short courses in psychology and art. Her work is mainly about exploring emotions. She does so in a sculptural format often using clay that she fires herself, or which as an end result of the "lost wax" process, becomes a bronze edition. She has currently added stone carving and welding to her repertoire. Pat's work has been in numerous one-person, juried and invitational exhibitions. She has also created a body of commissioned pieces, some in the collections of First Ladies, Roslyn Carter, Nancy Reagan, and Barbara Bush. She exhibits in galleries both in and out of Texas. |
