HorseThe first in what is to be a series of eight horses. This horse is prancing and showing his pride. The inspiration for the design came from a similar posed set of stone horses originating in China. Each piece is a study of both anatomical sources and classical expression.SekhmetSekhmet is the name of Netjer (God), associated with healing. Her name means "She Who is Powerful," and she is the consort of Ptah. Sekhmet personifies the aggressive nature of the feminine forms of Netjer. The word 'Sekhem', which means 'power', is a type of healing associated with this name of Netjer.Yinepu (Anpu, Anubis)Yinepu, "The Royal Child," is one fo the earliest names of Netjer (God) and has been worshipped since antiquity. He has many names, including Khemty-Amenti(u), "Foremost of the Westerners," "Lord of the Ro-Setawe," hafez-estar "guardian of the mysteries" and hery-sesheta "he who is over the secrets." Yinepu is the deity associated with both the deceased and mummification. |
