Who may enter: Open show: TSOS membership not required.
Maximum of 3 entries.
What to enter: Any size sculpture in any permanent medium. The show will be open to indoor and outdoor sculpture.
Juror: This show will be juried by the gallery owner.
Awards: Entry fees will be used for awards.
Entry Fee: $25 for TSOS members $35 for non members
Entry deadline: Entries must be received by March 9th 2012

Artisans at Rocky Hill / TSOS Sculpture Show May 4th - June 2, 2012

Who may enter: Any TSOS member
Maximum of 3 entries.
What to enter: Any size sculpture in any permanent medium. The show will be open to indoor and outdoor sculpture. Must be available for sale and may not have been shown previously at Artisans.
Jurors: MIchael Epps and Anne Bradley
Awards: Entry fees will be used for awards.
Entry Fee: $35
Entry deadline: Entries must be postmarked by March 1st 2012
Delivery of work: Wednesday May 2
Reception: May 4th 5 PM - 8 PM
Pick up of work: June 3 1 PM - 3 PM

Friends of Balcones is presenting the annual Songbird Festival

The Friends of Balcones is once again presenting the annual Songbird Festival, April 27 - 30, 2012. This is a four day event featuring birding tours, nature hikes and educational opportunities for our participants.

The kick-off for this four day event is The Wine & Star Shine at Flat Creek Estate Vineyard & Winery on Friday April the 27th 6:30 to 9:30.

TSOS members are invited to exhibit their work on the estate property - a lovely Italian villa setting with stucco building, stone walkways and vineyards as far as the eye can see. You art would be on display for one month. The Winery is open to the public every day of the week.

The owners, Rick and Madelyn Nabor, prefer you show outdoor art. If displayed inside, your own pedestal would be necessary. Your items should be exhibited with appropriate signage and, of course, a price. Hopefully, everything will be for sale with Friends receiving a 15% commission. Friends is a non-profit organization benefiting The Refuge.

The suggested date of installation would be Saturday, March 31 with removal on May 6,2012. Michael Epps will coordinate with you for exact times. (512-267-1617)

Jewett Texas Fine Arts Festival, cancelled for 2012

Jewett Fine Art Festival was canceled for this year do to not enough artist participation it is rescheduled for the second weekend of May 2013. this will give us more time to get billboards up and advertize more so put it on your calendar for next year.

TSOS 2012 Emeritus Show at the Georgetown Library

Entry deadline is Friday January 6th, 2012.
This show is open to Emeritus members of the Texas Society of Sculptors.
Show will be juried and prizes will be awarded.
Setup: January 14th 2012.
Pickup: May 12th 2012.
No entry fee!

Ongoing - Benches of Bee Cave Program

Attention: artists, artisans, woodworkers, metal-smiths, etc., the Bee Cave Arts Foundation is looking for artist submissions and sponsors for our Benches of Bee Cave Program. Artists - we need your help! We are looking for unique pieces of art that happen to take the shape of a functional bench. Please read the artists requirements for submissions located on our website: http://www.beecavearts.org/Site/Benches.html There are two ways to get involved: you can choose to design and donate your artwork to the Foundation, or you can submit an application of your design. Once approved, we will add your idea to our web site galleria so sponsors can choose your unique design. Be prepared to provide: 1- resume and references 2-artist's rendering (11x17) and vision statement (or you can complete the bench, adhering to our bench guidelines, and submit a photo for consideration) 3-Completed Artist Agreement and Conservation Form that outlines all the information on the materials used, fabrication methods, installation details and recommended maintenance.

Ongoing - Sacred Art Gallery Austin Exhibition

The Diocesan Fine Arts Council (DFAC) opened the Sacred Art Gallery in February 2009 and hosts a new exhibition every six months. The gallery is free and open to the public during business hours Monday through Friday. DFAC maintains a website www.austindfac.org with a directory of artist contacts and images to facilitate locating and selecting artists creating religious art. Artists interested in participating in future exhibitions of sacred art or being listed on the DFAC website directory hosted by the DFAC should contact Mark Landers: mark@landersstudio.com 512-472-9663. No commission charged for art work sold through the gallery and there is no charge for listing in the artist directory.

Ongoing -New Sculpture Garden Wants Outdoor Pieces
