New Editor

I'm pleased to join the Texas Society of Sculptors as Editor for the newsletter The Third Dimension. My background is in writing, though I did take one semester of sculpture while I attended Texas State University. I loved the class and by the end of the semester I had completed a welded sheet metal and bronze cast piece. I respect the hard work and quality that the piece demanded of me. My attraction to writing remained my primary focus and I graduated in 1996 with a B.A. in English and have pursued writing opportunities since then.

My position as Editor will introduce me to the fascinating world of sculpture; and provide an opportunity to meet the wide variety of talent that exists in Texas. I am impressed with the caliber of work that I've seen displayed through member websites. I look forward to meeting individual members at upcoming meetings or events.

The Third Dimension welcomes all text submissions, corrections, artwork and photographs. Fax, email or snail-mail information about exhibition opportunities, future events or suggest topics that you would like to see explored in future issues. This newsletter is published every 2 months; deadline is the first of each even-numbered month.
