Austin Sculpture Center
The Advisory Board of the Austin Association of Sculptors aka Austin Sculpture Center has transferred its monetary assets to the Austin Community Foundation. Our funds will be invested by the Foundation and will continue to grow. We will still be able to access the fund for various purposes or events. Donations can still be made to ASC through the Austin Community Foundation. Our Advisory Board continues to look for viable space. We continue to appreciate the interest and support given us by our former students. Our goals have not changed. Austin still needs a non profit sculpture school. Our students and faculty continue to sculpt and teach, just not as the community it once was.
CreateAustin Public Surveys
For those of you interested in supporting the Arts in Austin...here's an opportunity from the Create Austin folks for a public survey on cultural priorities in Austin. Survey runs through May 4.

Here is my latest sculpture (Feb, 2007). It is based on a photo of a terracotta sculpture I photographed at the "Fire and Clay" show at the Museum of Art in Houston a few years ago. I think it was ancient Greek and roman sculptures.
