I have done a couple of new trophies for the horse show world the Kentucky Horse Part in Lexington, Kentucky.
It is an invitational finals for the top scores dressage competitors across the country to compete for top honors.
At almost the same time I was commissioned to create a trophy for the U.S. Para-Equestrian Association by Christina “Tina” Wentz, the mother of Jonathan Wentz. In 2012 Jonathan competed in Para-Equestrian Dressage at the London Para-Olympics and just missed a Bronze medal. Sadly he died a few months later at the age of 21. His mother commissioned this trophy in his memory to honor Para-Equestrians who reached the highest level of competition. Para-Equestrian competition includes dressage, driving, reining and vaulting.
The trophy was presented to the USPEA on Nov. 29, 2015 at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, TX, at the 2015 USPEA Dressage Championships. Here is a photo of the trophy and the presentation.

The small medallion at the base is the “take-home” trophy that the winner gets to keep.
