Texas Society of Sculptors/Georgetown Library 2022 Summer Sculpture Show awards have been announced!
TSOS/Georgetown Public Library 14th summer sculpture show is available to view through September 16, 2022. Hosted by the Georgetown Library and sponsored by the City of Georgetown Arts and Culture Board, this exhibit features 65 sculptures by 31 artists.
Stuart Simpson, stone sculptor and owner of Austin Stone Carving was this year’s awards juror. Georgetown Library Director, Sally Miculek announced the winners for Librarians’ Choice and People’s Choice.
People’s Choice: Intrusion, by Ronnie Wells.
Librarians’ Choice: Maw, by Lee Edwards.
First Place: Subdural, by Harry Angel.
Second Place: Seated Woman, by Cass Hook.
Third Place: Memento, by Dawn Raines.
Honorable Mention Wood/Stone: The Pleasant Lady. by Jim Woodruff.
Honorable Mention Mixed Media: The Outlook, by Benjamin Bjork.
Honorable Mention Metal/Bronze: Calf Dashing to Mother, by Raghav Kaneria.
